With 100 feet of rope, "Middle" the rope and lay out the center in a
zigzag pattern.

About 6 zigs and zags about the width of the intended patient,
laid over a 6 to 7 feet of ground
More zigzags can be added if desired, although this will detract from the
handles of the stretcher

Tie clove hitches at the apex of each zigzag.

Now the ends of the rope are threaded through the
clove hitches several times.

Whatta Mess!!!!; Be sure to keep your lines in order and not
to bunch up or you can lose track of your progress.
Tighten the slip knots at the end and load the patient for
extraction.

One should place a sleeping pad onto the stretcher
for patient comfort
as well as for improved weight distribution.
Patients should always be secured in the stretcher with additional rope or
webbing,
especially when traversing over uneven ground

That's it folks, the rope stretcher
