PALS Full Provider Course
The PALS Provider Course is designed to provide
participants with the information needed to recognize infants and children at
risk for cardiopulmonary arrest, strategies to prevent arrest, and the cognitive
and psychomotor skills needed to resuscitate and stabilize those in respiratory
failure, shock, or cardiopulmonary arrest.
This 2 day full provider course
covers the foundations of diagnosis and rapid treatment of various cardiac
and neurological emergencies encountered in the prehospital and clinical
settings.
|
 |
|
The course covers
case studies outlined by the emergency cardiac care guidelines of the American
Heart Association. The class consists of participative lecture as well as
informative and interactive didactic sessions. Courses and instructors are
certified by the American Heart Association.
|
|
PALS Renewal Course |
The AHA recommends that all PALS providers renew
their skills and knowledge at least once every 2 years. Participants attend
summary lectures, participate in interactive evaluation stations, and
complete a written examination that evaluates familiarity with knowledge and
skills gained in the PALS Provider Course. Practice time is included with each
course. In order to participate, the card must be current at the time of the
renewal course. Participants are required to have a current CPR
card. The following course cards are accepted: American Heart Association - Healthcare

Rescuer.
