Accident Investigation

This course is intended for upper-management personnel, supervisors, and safety coordinators. Upon completion, students should have a basic understanding of the procedures for conducting and documenting any occupational accident in a effective manner

Bloodborne Pathogens

This program includes information that will help students understand what bloodborne pathogens are and how risks of exposure can be reduced for themselves and others. The program assists in satisfying the training requirements of the U.S. Department of Labor, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (29 CFR 1910.1030).

IRT - Industrial Response Technician

The Industrial Response Technician (IRT) family of programs are designed to arm people working within the structure of the industrial setting with the minimum knowledge and skills necessary to provide emergency care for injury or sudden illness during the brief interval between incident and EMS arrival.

CPR Courses

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) courses include training on Automatic External Defibrillator's (AED's) and are designed to prepare an individual to be a provider of basic life support skills through lecture, skills practice, discussion, and practical evaluation.  Appropriate for lay rescuers, clinical, and prehospital audiences on the basic and advanced levels.

AED Courses

CPR/AED/First Aid Review courses are designed for both lay rescuer and healthcare professionals who are interested in reviewing/reinforcing their skills in CPR and AED performance.   Appropriate for lay rescuers, clinical, and prehospital audiences on the basic and advanced levels.

First Aid Courses

Emergency Oxygen

Serious and life-threatening medical emergencies often cause oxygen to be depleted in the body leaving the victim at risk for cardiac arrest or brain damage. Supplemental oxygen is a critical step in treating a severe or life-threatening illness or injury. This program focuses on administering emergency oxygen, rescue breathing and oxygen delivery devices.

Confined Space Entry

Our Confined Space Entry courses for general industry are designed for employees who are required to perform maintenance operations within areas or enclosures that meet OSHA’s criteria for a "permit-required" confined space.

HAZCOM

Hazard Communications (HAZCOM) training will help you to understand the potential dangers of the chemicals in your workplace.  It will teach you how to identify chemicals and how to read the warning labels.  You will learn how to access and read your organization's hazardous material manuals.

HAZWOPER

This training varies from level to level depending upon each worker’s specific responsibilities and duties in regards to hazardous materials handling.
This course contains technical material necessary for worker knowledge of both general safety and Federal/State compliance.

Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S)

This program has been designed to aid employers in meeting the requirements of State and Federal regulations for workers potentially at risk of exposure to H2S while on the job.

Hearing Conservation

This course provides the employee with a well-rounded knowledge of the hearing function process, and the various forms of personal protective equipment that are currently available and used for worker protection in this area.

Respiratory Awareness

Jobs throughout all types of industry will at times require workers to perform job duties in an area where hazardous airborne contaminants are present. Learn contemporary trends and safety practices to keep you and your employee's respiratory health intact.

Fire Safety

Upon completion, students should have a basic understanding of the concept of fire chemistry, the risks involved with both small and larges fires, as well as the use and limitations of portable fire extinguishers.

Forklift Training

Forklift equipment is used regularly in a wide range of industries to perform both routine and non-routine tasks. Prior to operating a forklift, your employee is required to be trained and authorized by you, the employer.

MSHA PART 46 & 48

Whether you are a miner or an independent contractor, there are sections within the Part 46 and the Part 48 trainings that must address issues of your specific operation.

Audiometry

Typically, audiometric tests determine a subject's hearing levels with the help of an audiometer, but may also measure ability to discriminate between different sound intensities, recognize pitch, or distinguish speech from background noise.  Results of audiometric tests are used to diagnose hearing loss or diseases of the ear.

Spirometry

Standby Medical Services
